Victoria COVID cases increase again on Friday with seven more deaths also recorded
Victoria’s COVID-19 cases are still rising and the state has recorded its biggest daily increase in three weeks.
On Thursday, the health department confirmed there had been 1362 cases in the 24 hours until midnight.
There were also seven more COVID-related deaths.
Hospitalisations in the state remain stable at 308 and of those 46 are in ICU and 26 are on a ventilator.
Victoria passed a major vaccination threshold on Thursday, with more than 90 per cent of all people aged over 12 now fully vaccinated.
There were 1254 cases recorded on Thursday, 1196 on Wednesday, 827 on Tuesday and 1029 on Monday.
Friday is the highest case day since 1471 cases were recorded on November 1.
