Former Australian Test cricket captain Tim Paine has announced today that he will be stepping away from all forms of cricket. In a brief statement released by Cricket Tasmania, it was announced that the 36-year-old would "be taking a leave of absence from all forms of cricket for the foreseeable future." "Tim's decision makes him unavailable for selection for today's Marsh One-Day Cup match against Western Australia," the statement read.
