This Scenic Train Ride Will Take You From NYC To Vermont Through The Stunning Hudson Valley
After over a year of service suspension, trains from NYC to Vermont are back and running!
As of July 19th, 2021, Amtrak’s Ethan Allen Express returned after more than a year of suspended service.
Now riders can travel from NYC all the way to Vermont in under 6 hours! The scenic route will provide breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley all the way to Rutland, Vermont where travelers can explore gorgeous trails, ski resorts, and a summertime alpine slide for the perfect city getaway!
The state of Vermont first suspended service back in March of 2020. “We appreciate the patience of all of our customers, including the many Vermonters who relied on these trains for transportation when the pandemic struck” said Transportation Secretary Joe Flynn.
Fortunately, The Ethan Allen Express is now back in full-service, and will resume the same train schedule it operated on prior to its suspension last year.
