PRIDE 2022: Out Magazine, The Advocate acquired by new LGBTQ+ owners
Thirty years after its first issue hit the newsstands, Out Magazine has a new owner.
This week, Pride Media — the parent company of the glossy LGBTQ lifestyle magazine and its sister publications, including The Advocate — was officially acquired by Equal Entertainment, known as the largest LGBTQ+ owned and operated media company in the United States.
The new company will now be known as Equal Pride with plans to expand the audience with women and people of color. Headquartered in New York, the leadership will also publish Out Traveler, Plus and the Pride digital brand.
