Police appeal for whereabouts of toddler Hoang Vinh Le after he was left with woman at Sydney coffee shop

Police and the Federal Circuit Court have appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of a 17-month-old toddler removed from his grandmother’s care in April. The parents of Hoang Vinh Le, born in June 2020, allegedly took the child from Canberra and subsequently told authorities they gave him to a woman they met at a Sydney coffee shop and paid $200 in May. A court order is in force requiring the child to live with his grandmother. His parents, Hoang Thanh Le and Lyn Kim Do, were arrested in May, but officers have not been able to find the child.
