Parents warned of delays and disruption to school buses
Councils are facing "severe difficulties" in providing sufficient school transport with large numbers of drivers and assistant staff unable to work due to Covid self-isolations.
Plans are being put in place including variations that could see pupils arriving unusually early or late on both their journeys to and from school.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council announced they were facing issues via their social media. The council tweeted: "SCHOOL TRANSPORT UPDATE - Due to drivers and passenger assistants having to self-isolate, severe difficulties are being experienced in running school transport as scheduled.
