Nk'Mip Creek wildfire flared overnight, but amount of growth hard to tell due to smoke - Penticton News

UPDATE: 2:15 p.m. AIM Roads is reporting that Highway 3 is closed on Anarchist Mountain due to the Nk'Mip Creek wildfire. "Please follow flaggers instructions and drive with care," they wrote on Twitter. The fire activity on Anarchist Mountain is now highly visible from Oliver, putting up smoke. UPDATE: 1:30 p.m. More than 150 properties have been added to the growing list of addresses under evacuation order in the Nk'Mip Creek wildfire area east of Osoyoos Thursday afternoon. The properties are in Area A of the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen. Residents must leave immediately due to immediate danger to life safety.
