Nick Pope has thanked Burnley fans for their support after ending his six year stay at Turf Moor to sign for Newcastle United. The goalkeeper has completed his move to the North East, signing a four-year contract, having expressed a desire to remain in the Premier League following Burnley's relegation. The 30-year-old wanted first team football in the top flight to keep alive his hopes of making the England squad for the World Cup this winter. The deal was announced as undisclosed but it is understood to be around £12million.
