A mum and daughter who both work for the NHS are supporting each other through chemotherapy together - after they were both diagnosed with cancer just five weeks apart.
Maria O'Neill, 28, who works as a nurse, was diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a lump in May.
To make matters worse, her sick pay is due to be halved from November and she will get nothing at all from April - leaving her worried how she'll be able to pay the bills while battling the life-threatening condition.
Maria's 55-year-old mum Margaret Wallace threw herself into caring for her daughter, and when she was unable to eat due to suddenly feeling 'full', she assumed it was because she was stressed.
