WHO holds emergency committee There have been 3,200 cases of monkeypox reported from nearly 50 countries over the past six weeks—an increase of 52% over the week prior, the World Health Organization announced Thursday as it convened an emergency committee on the matter in Geneva, having scheduled the meeting a week ago.
