Medicine Hat woman charged with first degree murder in death of Pincher Creek woman PINCHER CREEK, AB – Charges have been laid following the death of a Southern Albertan woman from earlier last week. On Friday, November 19, Megan Eekma, 34, was travelling with another person from B.C. to Alberta. During the trip, the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit says an interaction occurred, resulting in her death. An autopsy was completed on Monday by the Calgary Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner.
