Invitation for Barbadian start-up businesses
Tech Beach Retreat is accepting applications for the second cohort of its start-up accelerator program, TBR LAB. The program will take place from September 10 to November 5, 2021 and offers another group of Caribbean start-ups the opportunity to access global resources and receive guidance from international tech leaders.
Executed in partnership with IDB Lab and the DMZ, the accelerator program was designed to equip Caribbean founders with the tools and global resources required to successfully scale their companies in a digital world.
Cohort 1 of TBR LAB ran from April to June 2021 and comprised 36 start-ups from 11 countries. Collectively, these companies have already raised US $25 million and altogether they are currently pursuing over US $10 million in raises from various investors.
Several start-ups are also in receipt of term sheets signalling interest from investors coming out of the program’s Demo Day, which presented founders with the opportunity to pitch to global firms managing over US $250 million in investment capital.
