President Donald Trump called the crowd of supporters who gathered for his speech before the U.S. Capitol attack “loving,” in recently published audio of his interview with two Washington Post reporters in March.
Speaking with Carol D. Leonnig and Philip Rucker for their new book “I Alone Can Fix It,” the former president said the rally at the Ellipse, which wasn’t his “per se,” was one of the “largest” crowds he’d ever spoken to.
