The STOXX index of 600 leading European shares gained 1% to 458.52 points, within striking distance of its lifetime high of 461.38 points reached last week. Wall Street was also set for a steady start with S&P 500 futures up 0.14%, while Dow e-minis gained 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 e-minis were up 0.15%. A new batch of earnings reports includes chip giant Intel, and before the open the latest U.S. jobless claims numbers at 1230 GMT are expected to reflect rampant …
