A real estate agent who won a payout of almost $125,000 in 2014 after he twice lied under oath about a drink driving incident has been jailed for more than five years. Bernard Andrew Nash, 63, was found guilty of perjury in May by a NSW District Court jury, after media reports on his sizeable payout caught the attention of an employee of Shelly Beach Golf Club who knew exactly how much he’d drunk on the afternoon of October 13, 2011. Highway patrol officer Michael Hicks had followed Nash home from the club shortly after 6.30pm, and attempted to pull him over for a breath test.
