Teen girl attacked by 'drugged up' gangs in Liverpool city centre
The parents of a teenager who was jumped in Liverpool city centre says something ‘needs to be done’ to prevent it happening to other children.
Andy Barr, from Anfield, said his 14-year-old daughter Carla was attacked near Queen Square bus station on Saturday, June 5.
Carla’s dad says she was alone and waiting for the bus home when a gang of ‘p***** up’ teenagers started beating her.
He says witnesses told him that there were around 13 girls and four boys who all joined in the attack.
The 35-year-old told the ECHO : "My daughter was on her way back home when she was jumped by a load of teenagers, who were p***** up in the city centre.
"Obviously you know all about the gangs from the articles published over the last few days.
"She was just coming home and had to get the bus from Queen Square.
"They just launched an attack on her, they were all drunk and drugged up."
