School administrators, cops top Stratford's list of highest paid employees

STRATFORD — School administrators and cops topped the list of the town’s highest paid employees in 2020. Schools Superintendent Janet Robinson, who will leave the job at the end of the month, was the town’s highest paid employee, with compensation totaling $233,509.27, according to data provided in response to a Freedom of Information request from the Connecticut Post. On the town side of the books, Stratford Police Lt. Antonio Santos was the highest paid employee for the second straight year, bringing home a total of $214,469.49. Less than half of that total represents Santos’ salary — $102,032.89. He made $65,057.90 in overtime pay. And he brought in $47,305.50 in private duty pay for which the town is compensated. The next seven highest paid employees were also police officers. The ninth and 10th were Assistant Fire Chiefs Timothy Brennan and Douglas Reitmeyer, who took home $163,091.94 and $162,010.94, respectively.
