Temba Bavuma has been ruled of the four-match T20I series against Pakistan after picking up a grade one hamstring strain. Heinrich Klaasen will lead the hosts in the series with the first match on April 10 in Johannesburg.
The South Africa limited-overs captain picked up the injury while batting during the third ODI at Centurion. There were more injury concerns for South Africa ahead of the series with Rassie van der Dussen also struggling with grade one left quadriceps muscle strain. The selectors, however, have named the batsman in the squad. "I'd be stupid to push him to try and play in these T20s. He is still staying in the squad and hope he can have a quick turnaround but it doesn't look likely that he is going to get on the park," Mark Boucher had said post the ODI series.
