Atlanta Braves News: Frustration continues, possible trade targets and more
The Atlanta Braves saw yet another win slip away Thursday afternoon with a 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Atlanta has now dropped two straight games since getting back to the .500 mark with a win in the series opener Tuesday. The Braves haven’t spent a day this season above .500 and it looked like they were about to break through Wednesday before Luke Williams walked things off against Will Smith in the ninth. Atlanta had another chance to get back to .500 Thursday but again watched a 3-1 lead turn into a 4-3 loss in excruciating fashion.
For a multitude of reasons, things just haven’t clicked for the Braves this season. A lot of those close games that we have seen them win over the past three seasons have gone the other way over the first two months of the season. There has been a ton of adversity, but that was also a trademark that the teams of the past three seasons have largely overcome.
As frustrating as it has been, it is important to maintain some perspective. This …
