CDC vaccine advisers unanimously vote to recommend Moderna Covid-19 vaccine for people ages 6 through 17

(CNN)Vaccine advisers to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention voted on Thursday to support recommending the two-dose Moderna Covid-19 vaccine for use in people ages 6 through 17 years old. The vaccine received emergency use authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration last week. All 15 voting members of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted yes on the statements: "A two-dose Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (50mcg) is recommended for children ages 6 -- 11 years, under the EUA issued by the FDA."
