Buffalo mass shooting – live: Payton Gendron pleads not guilty to 10 murders after ‘evil’ supermarket attack

A "racially motivated" gunman killed 10 people and wounded three others at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York on Saturday night while live-streaming the attack. He was heavily armed and wore body armour as he fired a rifle at Tops Friendly Marker in a predominantly black neighbourhood north of downtown Buffalo. He had a camera fixed to his helmet to film the attack on camera. Officials said 11 of the victims were black and two were white. A white 18-year-old suspect, who officials say was not local, was arrested and faced a judge hours after the attack on Saturday afternoon. He was identified in court as Payton S.
